I mean heck, one of the guys behind the company is Max Martin of Britney Spears (and then some.) fame, dude knows what time is worth to prolific producers. But like I said, more importantly, it all hangs together and is playable OUT OF THE BOX. I've been impressed at how easily I can get a retro-60s-Motown sound, a slammin' metal groove, and they even have their own twist on classic drum machines which surprised me (given a market saturated with 808/909 also-rans). Addictive Drums' updater is more elegant than most companies, the variety of kits (and pattern packs) is impressive, and it's so easy to mix and match once you have a collection built up. So many plugins may have good "sounds" but lack compelling navigation and slick graphics that help you have more fun, so you end up being bogged down by workflow. I built up my collection until I had all the kits, watching for custom ADpak sales and doing a real Pokémon job on it.
